Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Billable ("the Service"), operated by Coaching Dev Labs, LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Billable is a time tracking, expense management, and invoicing tool designed for solo freelancers. The Service allows you to track billable hours, log expenses, generate and send invoices, and accept online payments through Stripe Connect integration.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Free and Pro Plans

Billable offers two plans:

• Free: limited to 1 client, 1 invoice per month, and 10 Shoebox receipt scans.
• Pro ($8/month or $60/year): unlimited clients, invoices, and receipt scans, plus custom branding and CSV exports. The $60/year Founding Member rate is locked for the lifetime of your subscription as long as it remains active.

We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscribers. Existing Pro subscribers on the Founding Member rate will not be affected as long as their subscription remains active and uninterrupted.

5. Payments and Billing

• Pro plan subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
• All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Your Data

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into Billable, including client information, time entries, expenses, and invoices.
• You grant us a limited license to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you input, including invoice amounts, tax information, and client details.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Use the Service to send fraudulent invoices or misrepresent charges.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission.

8. Stripe Connect

Billable integrates with Stripe Connect to enable online invoice payments. By using this feature, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. We are not responsible for Stripe's processing, fees, or fund availability.

9. Disclaimers

• Billable is a billing and invoicing tool, not accounting software. It does not provide tax advice, payroll services, or bank account reconciliation.
• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coaching Dev Labs, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State in which Coaching Dev Labs, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
